The Met department says that by the morning of May 24, the low pressure will turn into cycloneand in the next 24 hours it will become the cyclone, very severe cyclone. According to the information, cyclone Yaas will enter West Bengal, Odisha and Bangladesh by the evening of May 26. During this time the wind speed is 100 km. Can be more than an hourly. Moreover, at the landfall site, the wind speed is 150 km. The speed per hour is estimated to reach. It has been warned that heavy to very heavy rain will start from May 25 in West Bengal, especially in coastal areas, which will continue till May 26.

In view of the cyclone, the NDRF team has been dropped in West Bengal, Odisha. Frequent announcements are being made to sensitize people in coastal areas about the dangers of the storm. Local citizens are being contacted by the administration in Bengal, especially in Midnapore, Sundarbans and surrounding areas.
