Recently the duo attended the Filmfare Awards 2019 and while accepting award she expressed love for Ranbir Kapoor.
Alia's film Raazi was awarded the best film as well as the filmmaker Meghna Gulzar received the best director award. Apart from this, Alia also won the best actor female in the popular choice category. She accepted the award with some generous words for her director Meghna Gulzar, her Raazi co-star Vicky Kaushal, and her rumoured beau Ranbir. She said, "Meghna, for me, 'Raazi' is you, your blood and sweat. You are my main chick. Vicky, without you, the film wouldn’t be complete. Thank you, my mentor, Karan for being my mentor, father, and my fashion police. Tonight is all about love; there, my special one, I love you (Ranbir Kapoor)."
on the work front, Alia and Ranbir are gearing for the release of Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, that will mark the first on-screen collaboration of the actors. Ayan has been sharing several photos on his Instagram account from the film. He also recently revealed the name of the characters that Alia and Ranbir essay. Captioned "Shiva & Isha...," Brahmastra also stars megastar Amitabh Bachchan is a pivotal role. Brahmastra is slated from a Christmas 2019 release.
