The highway girl Alia Bhatt says she is keen to work with veteran director Mani Ratnam. The actress recently will seen in theaters in her upcoming “Kapoor and sons” with co-star like Siddhart and Fawad.

The Shaandar girl said, “My dad (Mahesh Bhatt) keeps pushing me to watch regional films. He had said that I should definitely do Bengali films. I've always wanted to work with Mani Ratnam, so maybe I'll go down south and work with Mani sir”

As per the earlier report of media that Mani Ratnam’s was to have Alia in the main role opposite to Dulquer Salman in his “O Kadhal Kanmani”

It’s also said Ratnam’s wanted Varun and Alia together in the Hindi version of his Tamil film but the things didn’t work and Mani cast Dulquer and Nithya Menen.
