Alicia Silverstone is opening out about her prior experiences with dating apps — and the results have been varied! The actress appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show, where she disclosed that she had been banned from a dating app twice to presenter and friend Drew Barrymore, as well as relationship counsellor Damona Hoffman.

"I tried to get on one of the dating apps a few years back and created a phoney profile because I wasn't comfortable being myself," Silverstone told PEOPLE. "After that, I was kicked off and blacklisted." Silverstone, on the other hand, was unconcerned. 

"I gave it another go," she explained. After hearing that Barrymore, 46, and actress Sharon Stone were also interested in online dating, Silverstone, who divorced husband Christopher Jarecki in 2018, said on Tuesday that she tried to go back on the dating apps. Unfortunately for the Clueless actress, her reunion was short-lived, as she was once again blacklisted.

Silverstone, on the other hand, stated Tuesday that when it comes to dating, she tries to be as "honest and straightforward" as possible from the start to see whether her path aligns with that of a potential spouse. Silverstone, who is presently working on a number of projects, including the second season of Netflix's The Baby-Sitters Club, stated her enthusiasm for the opportunity to fully immerse herself in Bumble. According to PEOPLE, she replied, "It's an adventure."

Using dating apps may be a roller coaster of emotions. You could start up a discussion with a complete stranger online, or you might be ignored by a promising possibility. Having said that, kudos to Silverstone for taking the risk of trying something new!
