AMU doctor resumes job after termination in Hathras case

New Delhi: The FSL report was questioned amidst an investigation into Hathras gang rape. Two doctors were dismissed by the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Medical College Administration after questions were raised about the FSL report. Now the two doctors have been dismissed and they have been restored. Both doctors have been restored to leave vacancy again.

It is said that Dr Azim and Dr Obaid were dismissed from AMU Medical College on Tuesday. The AMU Medical College administration had fired both, saying that both were kept on leave vacancy. The college administration also said that the term of both doctors has been completed. The college administration was severely criticized for this decision.

Seeing the criticism of the decision, the AMU Medical College administration has reversed its decision. The college administration has restored both the doctors on leave vacancy. Dr Azim and Dr Obaid had raised questions about the FSL report. The rape of the victim was not confirmed in the FSL report. AMU VC VC Tariq Mansoor ordered his sacking with immediate effect.
