SRINAGAR: In a groundbreaking move, the Government of India has taken significant steps to put various border areas of Jammu and Kashmir on the tourism map, providing a much-needed boost to the region's economy and cultural identity. Among these newly unveiled destinations is the enchanting Keran, where All India Radio (AIR) Srinagar is preparing to host an extraordinary Pahari Variety Cultural Show near the Line of Control (LoC).
The prestigious 'Shaherbeen' program by AIR and the dedicated Pahari Programme team, with invaluable assistance from the Army's 28 Infantry Division Kupwara, are all set to present a captivating cultural spectacle.
Scheduled for July 27th, the event will unfold on the serene banks of the Kishenganga River, nestled within the picturesque district of Kupwara.
Maqsood Ahmad, the Program Executive of AIR Srinagar and Producer of Shaherbeen/Pahari Programme, expressed his excitement, saying, "We are thrilled to bring the rich and diverse Pahari culture to the forefront through this cultural show.
