Patna: In India, every district and state has been affected due to the increasing cold day by day, whereas the havoc of winter continues in Bihar. This is the first time in the last 10 years that people have been troubled by cold for 15 days. The record winter in Patna and Gaya has disturbed the public life. Light in Gaya, while drizzle was witnessed in many parts of the state including Saharsa, Nawada, Begusarai. It was cloudy till noon in many places including the state capital Patna.

The Meteorological Department says that due to the cold wave, the District Magistrate of Patna has ordered the closure of all the schools up to 10th standard in the city till 5 January 2020. This order will be applicable to private and government schools. Before, the District Magistrate had issued an order to keep the school closed till January 2 due to cold. The temperature is declining due to cold waves and fog.
