Prayagraj: The path of Bhoomi Pujan of Ram temple in Ayodhya has now become clear. The Allahabad High Court has rejected the petition filed against the proposed Bhoomi Pujan on August 5 for the construction of the Ram temple. On Friday, the Division Bench of the High Court dismissed the petition after hearing it.

The court stated in its judgment that the points raised in the petition are only on the basis of imagination and the apprehensions raised are baseless. Along with this, the High Court has asked the temple construction trust and UP government to follow the Covid guidelines in the Bhoomi Pujan program. Delhi journalist and social activist Saket Gokhale had filed a petition against Bhoomi Pujan. The matter was heard by the Division Bench of Chief Justice Govind Mathur and Justice Soumitra Dayal Singh.

Saket Gokhale said in his petition that Bhoomi Pujan is a violation of the guidelines of the Corona epidemic. It was said in the petition that 300 people will participate in the Bhoomi Poojan, which will be against the rules of Covid. Having a program will increase the possibility of spreading corona infection. It was also said in the petition that the UP government cannot waive the guidelines of the Center. In this petition, along with the Ram Mandir Trust, the Modi government of the Center was also made a party.
