Prayagraj: A letter from the Vice-Chancellor of Allahabad Central University at Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh is currently under discussion. Sangeeta Srivastava has written to the local DM and complained that some action should be taken in the matter if life in the mosque disrupts their sleep. In fact, Prof. Sangeeta Srivastava has written to the DM of Prayagraj and said, "Every morning at around 5:30 a.m., the loud sound of the loudspeaker disrupts their sleep." The Vice-Chancellor has also complained, "Sleep is disrupted due to life and then there is no sleep later. This causes headaches throughout the day and affects their functioning as well.''

The Vice-Chancellor, however, has also made it clear in her letter that she is not against any sect, caste, or class. Referring to a proverb, she said, "Your freedom ends where my nose starts." In the letter, Prof. Sangeeta Srivastava also appealed that 'it can be completed without a loudspeaker so that it does not affect another person's routine. Even before Eid, the Sahari will be announced at 4 o'clock in the morning, which can also aggravate the problem.'

However, Prof. Sangeeta Srivastava has also written in his letter that the Constitution of India envisages secularism and peaceful harmony for all sections, and also referred to the order of the Allahabad High Court (PIL No. 570 Office 2020).
