Amritsar: Recently, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has said on the order of inquiry given in the context of media reports of the nexus between political leaders and gangsters that they will not bow down to the gimmicks of the Akalis. The Chief Minister said that the matter will be thoroughly investigated and those found guilty will not be allowed to escape. The Chief Minister said that after obtaining photographs showing the Akali Dal's top leadership's relationship with dangerous criminals and gangsters, he ordered the DGP to investigate it. The Chief Minister said that he had informed the Governor about these photographs before ordering the inquiry and if this proves to be true, it would expose the prudence of the Akalis in protecting the criminals and gangsters in the state.

This evidence is very serious and they need to be investigated by the police, due to which they have ordered the DGP to leave no stone unturned to complete this investigation as soon as possible. The Chief Minister said that the evidence he got in the form of documents and photographs show the clear connection between Badal and other Akali leaders, while the Akali leaders are beating hands and feet to target prison minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa.
