Jammu: Corona cases have started declining in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a matter of happiness for those going on Amarnath Yatra that the Army has also given permission for Amarnath Yatra. Moreover, the Ganderbal and Anantnag administrations have directed all those who are involved in the travel arrangements to get vaccinated at the earliest.

These developments have raised hopes of the commencement of amarnath yatra but no indication has been given so far by the state government and Amarnath Yatra shrine board. However, the yatra is scheduled to start on 28th June and last for about two months. It is true that due to the second wave of corona, arrangements on any route for Amarnath Yatra have not yet started. Nor has the yatra registration been done. State that the travel registration was closed after 5-6 days.

But now the Army is itself ready for the Amarnath Yatra. At the same time, instructions have been issued in Kashmir to get vaccinated at the earliest to those who set up tents, anchor and serve pithu and mules during amarnath yatra. Following these instructions, the Amarnath Yatra is likely to begin.
