Amazing! Suriya's 'Jai Bhim' becomes the first Tamil film to receive this Oscar nomination

Tollywood star Surya's most recent film, 'Jai Bhim,' in which he worked as a producer as well as a actor, was released on Amazon Prime Video in November 2021 to great reviews from critics and people throughout the world. Important political figures such as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Thol Thirumavalavan, and MNM leader Kamal Haasan have all voiced their love.

'Jai Bhim' went on to become the highest-rated picture on IMDB, and it is expected to win the National Awards and other prestigious awards in 2021. Meanwhile, the Academy Awards team has given credit to the film by posting a scene from it on the Oscar YouTube page.

The Institute of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has praised the film in the description "Jai Bhim melds actual case studies helmed by Activist-Lawyer Chandru, who worked efforts to bring justice to Tamilnadu's indigenous tribes. TJ Gnanavel, the writer-director, describes how the narrative was conceived and executed."

T.J. Gnanavel directed 'Jai Bhim,' which Suriya and Jyothika produced under their label 2D Entertainment. Lijomol Jose, Manikandan, and Suriya star in the film, which also features Tamizh, Guru Somasundaram, Rajisha Vijayan, Kumaravel, Prakash Raj, and Ilavarasu.
