New Delhi: For the last few days, telecom companies have been under stress on adjusting gross revenue. However, recently, the country's top court has granted 10 years' deferment to the telecom companies to repay the AGR dues. After this relief, now Vodafone Idea has started searching for investors.
According to the report, Amazon and American wireless company Verizon are considering making a big investment of $ 4 billion (30 thousand crores) in Voda Idea. Reuters has quoted this report. If this happens then it will be a big relief for Voda Idea. Vodafone Idea shares have benefited from the news of Amazon's investment. The company's stock price has gone up by more than 16 per cent. Currently, Vodafone Idea shares are trading at over Rs 11.
Earlier, there were reports of Google investing in Voda Idea. However, it was rejected by Voda Idea. There was an AGR of more than 50 thousand crores on Vodafone Idea, out of which the company has paid a nominal amount. Now after the verdict of the top court, Vodafone Idea has got 10 years. However, Vodafone-Idea and Bharti Airtel had asked for 15 years' time to pay the AGR dues.
