Women have a special place in our country of India. Amazon India has started two delivery stations operated by Nari Shakti in Kerala under the commitment of empowerment of women from employment. These distribution centers constructed in Aranmula (Pathanamthitta district) and Kodungallur (Thrissur district) towns are run by Delivery Service Partners (DSP). They are giving job opportunities to more than 50 women.
In the same official statement, it has been stated here that the launch of all these women's delivery stations is in line with Amazon India's efforts to increase opportunities for women in the logistics sector, while further strengthening its Diversity, Equality, and Inclusiveness (DEI) commitment. The company already has two women-powered delivery stations at Chennai and Kadi, Gujarat.
At the launch of these stations, Prakash Rochlani, Director, Last Mile Operations, Amazon India, said, "We have thousands of women who are playing important roles in our operating network and are getting rich in their professional life with Amazon.'' Maya Vinod, a female delivery associate at the women's distribution center in Aranmula, said being a delivery associate, she has the right to be financially independent. I am grateful to other women for setting an example and showing that they too can achieve their dreams, she said.
