A court in Indore has issued summons against Hindi cinema actress Amisha Patel in a check bounce case of Rs 10 lakh and asked her to appear before January 27 next year. Judicial Magistrate Manish Bhatt on Wednesday issued summons against the 43-year-old actress after filing a complaint under Section 318 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. Durgesh Sharma, counsel for the petitioner Nisha Chhipa, said on Friday, "JMFC has directed Amisha Patel to remain present on January 27." According to him, Amisha borrowed Rs 10 lakh from Chhipa for film production.

Durgesh Sharma said, '"The actor had given a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to my client for repayment, but it got dishonoured as she did not have adequate balance in her bank account."
Amisha Patel's signed check and copy of court order are also going viral. Amisha Patel made her Bollywood debut in 2000 with the romantic thriller film Kaho Naa ... Pyaar Hai. The film was directed by Rakesh Roshan. She was seen in the film opposite Hrithik Roshan.
