Washington: The US has announced to spend $100 million to help China and other countries in the grip of the Corona virus. America has also urged other countries of the world to come forward to deal with this crisis. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement, "We encourage the rest of the world to fulfill our commitment as well. We can play an important role in dealing with this threat."
The US State Ministry has provided the facility to the people of China. They are providing about 17.8 tonnes of medical-related items including masks, gowns, gauges, breathing apparatus, essential materials. The Secretary has said that "The US government will fulfill this commitment directly and through multilateral organizations through existing funds and that the United States will play a strong leadership in combating this outbreak by assisting through donations from the US private sector."
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hua Chunying has said that a consignment of essential materials from the US has reached Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus and the capital of China's Hubei province. People from many countries of the world have come under the grip of coronavirus spread in China.
