Washington: US President Donald Trump has said that he will send some American army personnel from Germany to Poland. Trump said last week that the US would reduce its military strength in Germany from about 52,000 to 25,000. President Trump told pressmen at the White House Rose Garden press conference with President of Poland Andrzej Duda that "We will probably take them (soldiers) from Germany to Poland." Trump was answering a question on his decision to reduce the number of American troops in Germany from 52,000 to about 25,000.
According to news agency PTI, Trump said in the press conference, "They (Poland) asked us if we would send some additional troops. They would pay to send additional troops. So we are probably going from Germany to Poland." He has said, "We are going to reduce around 25,000 soldiers in Germany considerably. We had 52,000 soldiers there, but we will take it to about 25,000." Germany is paying its share much less. They should pay two percent and they are making a little more than one percent.
US President Donald Trump has further said that some US soldiers are returning home and will go to some other places. Poland will be one of those other places. In response to a question, Trump said that his decision will send a strong message to Russia.
