Mumbai: Bollywood actress and alleged activist Swara Bhaskar had informed about marrying Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Fahad Ahmed on 16 February 2023. However, Mufti Yasir Nadeem Al Wajidi, who lives in Chicago in America, says that according to Islam, this marriage is not valid. He has cited Swara Bhaskar being a Hindu as the reason for this. Along with this, he has also reprimanded the Liberal Muslims of India.
Mufti Yasir has also cited a verse of the Quran for this. Yasir wrote in tweeting that, 'Swara Bhaskar is not a Muslim and her alleged husband is a Muslim. That's why this marriage is not valid in Islam. Until non-Muslim women have complete faith, they should not be married. If she accepts Islam only for Nikah, then it is not acceptable to Allah.' However, RJ Sayema did not like Mufti's tweet. Sharing a screenshot of Mufti's tweet, he wrote, 'Buzz off!' After this, Mufti Yasir replying to Sayema's tweet said that Just spotted an infected with 'liberalism disease'. She said, buzz off, to the Quran. Yet, she will be associated with Islam because of her name.
However, this debate between the two did not stop there. In another tweet, Sayema questioned Mufti Yasir, 'Who are you? Someone designated by Allah to judge others? We are not answerable to Allah and only to Allah. To each his own. Till someone asks for your opinion keep it to yourself. Be a good Muslim.'
In response to this, Mufti Yasir again tweeted. He wrote that 'I am a person whom liberals like you hate the most. I am someone who often exposes people like you who misinterpret Islam. I am the kind of person who will speak up when RJ misinterprets Islam. You confine yourself to the entertainment business and leave Islam to its experts.' On the other hand, most of the Muslim social media users are telling Mufti's point in this matter as correct according to Islam, and also asking RJ Sayema not to interfere in religious works.
