Washington: In a new study by a group of American researchers, it has been estimated that the coronavirus epidemic may continue to wreak havoc for the next 18-24 months. Governments around the world have been alerted that they should be ready for the situation of raising the head from time to time for the next two years.

The study, titled "Covid-19 Viewpoint" by the Center for Infectious Diseases Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, US, is based on previous patterns of influenza epidemics. Researchers say the current "SARS-CoV-2 new coronavirus nature is very different from the nature of recent coronavirus diseases such as SARS and MERS." According to the study, these pathogens (pathogens) do not provide a useful model for what to predict about this virus.

Even after distinguishing between influenza virus and coronavirus, scientists insist that there are many similarities between the two epidemics. Both mainly spread through the respiratory tract. With both viruses, the infection spreads without symptoms. Both have the power to infect millions of people and spread rapidly around the world.
