Gurjar said he has been practicing the 100-meter race for the past six months to join the army but was not selected because of the short height. Gurjar comes from a farmer's family in Narwar village of Shivpuri district of MP. After watching the video, state Sports Minister Jitu Patwari had called him to Bhopal. After meeting the minister, Gurjar said, "I used to complete the 100-meter race in more than 12 seconds but after six months of practice I am able to complete it in 11 seconds. '
