The first teaser of one of the most awaited movies of the year, South Star Prabhas starring Adipurush was recently released but it was welcomed with more negative views than positive views as some people are very disappointed with Saif Ali Khan’s look as Ravana and some are very disappointed with the VFX of the film. The teaser received harsh criticism due to which the makers has delayed Adipurush release.
According to a report, “Om Raut's directorial might be delayed owing to the massive backlash received from moviegoers. The report also stated that the makers are trying to avoid a mega clash at the box office with Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veeraya and NBK’s Veera Simha Reddy.”
Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh also hinted at the same and tweeted, "The biggie is postponed??? Awaiting a clarification/confirmation from the makers." Although he does not clarify the name but various people speculated that he was talking about Adipurush.
As soon as his tweet catches the eyes of people, netizens started to speculate that Adipurush is being delayed. One user wrote, "Adipurush to Summer 2023!" Another tweeted, "Adipurush postponed ab 12 jan ko OMG2 aani chaiye.
Another Trade expert Girish Johar also tweeted, "Strrrrrrong #TradeBuzz or inside rumour that #Adipurush bows out of its plans of being a Sankranti release. Now they are planning for mid Summer 2023 release."
Adipurush is a multilingual saga based on an Indian Hindu mythological epic, Ramayana. Adipurush cast includes Kriti Sanon, Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh in the lead role. Prabhas plays the Hindu god Lord Ram and Saif Ali Khan will play Lankesh. ‘Adipurush’ is set to hit theatres on January 12, 2023.
