Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone‘s first song of the film Pathaan created Ruckus. They are facing huge criticism because of the color of Deepika’s Dress. The movie also called for Boycott while on the other hand the fans of SRK and Deepika are very excited for the new updates about the film.
Now the Delhi High Court on Monday directed Yash Raj Films (YRF) ( Production of Pathaan) to add some changes to the film. According to the infomration, the court has asked the production company to add 'subtitles, close captioning and audio description in Hindi' for hearing and visually-impaired people to enjoy the film OTT platforms.
The court has asked YRF to submit the changes to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) again for re-certification. As per Bar and Bench, the court directed the producers to submit the details by February 20. It also ordered the CBFC to take a decision by March 10. The court didn't give any directions to Pathaan's screening in theaters as the film is set to release on January 25. The film will stream on Prime Video in April. So, the judge noted that the producers can make the changes by then. The court refused 'to pass any direction in respect of the theatrical release of Pathaan'.
The film recently received a U/A certificate after being ordered as many as 10 cuts, including several changes in the controversial Besharam Rang song. The runtime of Pathaan is 146 minutes (2 hours and 26 minutes). The changes ordered by the CBFC include certain words being replaced. The word ‘RAW’ will be changed ‘Humare’, ‘Langde Lulle’ will be swapped with ‘Toote Foote’, and ‘PMO will be replaced with ‘President/Minister’ in 13 places. Other edited words include ‘Mrs Bharatmata’, ‘Ashok Chakra’, ‘Scotch’, and, ‘KFB’. A reference to Russia has also been removed.
Speaking of the Pathaan, it marks Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the big screen in over four years. The action thriller also stars John Abraham and is directed by Siddharth Aanand. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on January 25, 2023. It will be released in Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions apart from Hindi.
