Air Chief visits Ladakh amid Indo-China clash, takes stock of preparations

Leh: Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary, Chief of the Air Staff, arrived in Ladakh on Saturday in the ongoing India-China confrontation over the Line of Actual Control (LAC). In the meantime, he took stock of the army's preparedness on the borders with China. According to sources, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary will be on a tour of forwarding areas of Ladakh where he will meet army ground commanders as well as Armies.

Sources said the Indian Air Force Chief will review the operational preparedness of his troops there and also brief about Chinese activities across the LAC against the Indian Front. State that the Air Chief Marshal took over as air chief on October 1. The Air Force Chief, while the head of the Western Air Command, used to lead a large part where China's interference is high.
 
Meanwhile, the Indian Air Force has stepped up its presence in the northern region, where troops have been deployed to combat slow-moving helicopters or unmanned missions with IGLA surface-to-air missiles.
