Jaipur: The Face of Muslim Appeasement of the Congress government led by CM Ashok Gehlot in Rajasthan has once again been exposed. This time the government has announced assistance of up to 25,00,000 for the development of madrasas in the state. The BJP has termed the funding by the Gehlot government as a Diwali bonus for Muslims.

According to the report, the funding is being provided to Muslims under the Mukhyamantri Madarsa Modernization Scheme. The Rajasthan Madarsa Board has also issued a press release on the matter. In the press release, applications have been invited for the Madarsas of A category registered with the Rajasthan Madarsa Board. It has been clarified that under the State Scheme, Rs.15 lakh has been announced for the development of primary madrasas and Rs.25 lakh for higher-level madrasas. The last date of application for the same has been fixed as 20th October. It may be recalled that 90 per cent of the expenditure in this scheme will be borne by the state and 10 per cent by madrasas.

Taking a dig at the Gehlot government's decision to appease Muslims, BJP media cell president Amit Malviya termed it as a Diwali bonus and the best use of public tax. He tweeted, "Amidst cases of harassment of women and a rising crime against Dalits, the Congress government's amazing communal initiative of Rajasthan for national unity and integrity... Madarsas to get a Deepawali bonus from the government. Rs. 15-25 lakhs per madrasa! Best use of taxes of the people of Rajasthan.''
