New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is holding a meeting with the Chief Ministers of the states today to deal with the cyclone Yaas in the Bay of Bengal. Amit Shah will review the meeting with the Lieutenant Governor of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands through video conferencing and preparations for cyclone Yaqs, but according to prior information, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee was unlikely to attend the meeting, but Mamata Banerjee has attended the meeting putting an end to all speculations.

Let us tell you that the central government is preparing on a war footing to deal with cyclone Yaas. PM Narendra Modi had an emergency meeting with the disaster management office on Sunday. Officials from various central offices were also present. Officials from the Department of Telecommunications and Power were also present. Union Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gowda has already held a meeting with the National Disaster Management Committee. He directed that all preparations be made before the disaster.

The meeting asked people from low-lying areas to consider how to evacuate quickly so that there is no shortage of food, water, medicine and other essentials. However, the administration is giving utmost importance to ensure that covid centres, safe homes and hospitals do not face any problem in the event of corona. State that 75 teams of National Disaster Response Force have been deployed in West Bengal and Orissa. There are 20 more teams. BSF has banned the movement of ships in Bangladesh. The Army, Navy and Coast Guard have also been kept ready.
