Dehradun: Cases of corona infection may have started declining, but the state governments are not ready to give any exemption. Restrictions imposed to prevent corona infection have been increased in many states. Now the Uttarakhand government has also extended the corona curfew imposed in the state by a week.

In Uttarakhand, the corona curfew was earlier scheduled to end by the morning of May 25, which has now been extended to June 1. Now, till the morning of June 1, more stringent restrictions will remain in force, which were in force so far. Although, till now fruit,vegetable, ration and milk dairy shops used to open from 7 am to 10 am, but now these shops will open from 8 am to 11 am. There will be a ban on unprovoked commuting during corona curfew. Only those involved in essential services will be allowed to travel. In addition, permission from the district administration has to be obtained for marriage, which can include only 20 people. The funeral will also be attended by only 20 people.

Like the rest of the states, uttarakhand now seems to be slowing down with corona infection. 3,050 new infected cases were reported here on Sunday and 53 patients have lost their lives. So far, 3,13,519 cases have been reported and 5,805 patients have lost their lives. At present, the number of active cases in the state is 54,735.
