Union Home rolled out 'Ayushman CAPF' Swasthya Seva Yojana

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has launched the 'Ayushman CAPF' Health Services Scheme last Saturday. Under this, all armed police forces personnel (CAPFs) of the country will now get the benefits of the Central Health Insurance programme. In fact, the ' Ayushman CAPF ' health card was formally distributed among some personnel of 7 central armed police forces at the CRPF Group Centre at Amingon, Guwahati.

This scheme, CAPFs, NSG, BSF, Central Industrial Security Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Around 28 lakh personnel of Sashastra Seema Bal and their families are going to be included in the 'Ayushman Bharat: Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana'. There will be a joint initiative by the Home Ministry and the NHA. The scheme will provide cashless health care to serving CAPFs personnel and their family members.

It will now be implemented throughout the country in a phased manner. It has a round-the-clock call center, online complaint management system, fraud and abuse control system, and real-time monitoring dashboards other key features. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between nha and union Home Ministry at CRPF Group Centre in Guwahati last yesterday. Home Minister Shah, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai and Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attended the meeting.
