NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit seven states over the next three weeks as part of a massive cross-country tour, during which he will attend public, political, and official events, officials said.
As part of a mega cross-country tour, Shah will travel to Assam, Telangana, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat during his two-day visit to West Bengal. According to officials, he would visit Assam on May 9 and 10, where he will attend multiple activities, including one to commemorate the first anniversary of the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led BJP government in the state.
The Union home minister will visit Telangana on May 14 and speak at a public forum in the Ranga Reddy district. The event will conclude the second leg of state BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar's 'Praja Sangrama Yatra.'
Shah is slated to attend BJP meetings and interact with party leaders during his visit to Kerala on May 15, ostensibly to rally the party's cadre for the 2024 general elections. On May 20, Shah will travel to Uttarakhand for a day-long visit, when he would attend official and party engagements and meet with BJP workers.
According to officials, he would visit Arunachal Pradesh for two days (May 21-22) to attend a number of official engagements. Shah will travel to Maharashtra on May 27. He will be in Gujarat from May 28 to 29. The Union home minister will visit a number of official and party functions in both states.
