New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has expressed the expectation that the GDP growth rate will be positive in the next quarter (October-December). The economy has registered a decline in the first and second quarter of the current financial year. After inaugurating two bridges over the road in Ahmedabad in a virtual manner, Shah said that PM Modi is working hard to revive the country's economy.

Shah said that he has also announced a package to deal with the crisis arising due to the Corona epidemic. Shah said that PM Modi has used the time during the Corona epidemic to formulate policy. He has taken special care of its long-term impact on the economy. Amit Shah said that PM Modi has worked on reforms for the agricultural sector, electricity, industrial policy etc. without losing a second, so that the pace of development can be maintained.

Shah said that Modi has also announced a package of Rs 20 lakh crore for the welfare of poor people. Amit Shah said that if we look at the latest GDP figures, we are just six percent behind. I expect GDP growth to be positive in the next quarter. In the first quarter (April-June) of the current financial year itself, the GDP declined by 23.9 percent due to the lockdown implemented to prevent the spread of coronavirus. In the second quarter (July-September), this decline has come down to 7.5 percent.
