Ampere Vehicles, the electric mobility subsidiary of Greaves Cotton, launched the electric scooter Magnus Pro amid the growing trend of electric vehicles. Magnus Pro comes with better equipment, more capable features by the company. For this reason, now Ampere Magnus 60 has been discontinued. The new Magnus Pro has a lithium-ion battery, while the Magnus 60 has a lead-acid battery that gives a range of 45-50 km on a full charge. Ampere claims that it takes 8 to 10 hours to be fully charged. At the same time, Magnus Pro takes 5-6 hours to full charge and gives a range of 75-80 km. The Magnus 60 was the only scooter left that had a top speed of 25 kmph.

The company had fixed the price of Magnus 60 at Rs 44,699, which is about Rs 30,000 less than Magnus Pro. Ampere now has 5 vehicles in its product portfolio - Magnus Pro, Reo, Reo Elite, Zeal and V48. The new Ampere Magnus Pro is the company's flagship electric scooter in the market. This electric scooter has become available for sale in Bengaluru market. In other cities, the company can make this scooter available for sale in 30-60 days. Talking about the price, the starting ex showroom price of Ampere Magnus Pro is Rs 73,990. This electric scooter can hold a speed of 0-40 kmph in just 10 seconds. Talking about top speed, this electric scooter can hold a speed of 55 kmph.

Talking about the features, the Ampere Magnus Pro electric scooter has features like LED headlamp, digital instrument console, space with more storage in the under seat, LED light, keyless entry, anti theft alarm and combined braking system (CBS).
