One of the most famous villains in the history of Bollywood Amrish Puri needs no introduction. He has not famous for a role, almost all the roles of Amrish are memorable. The Bollywood villain Amrish Puri was born on June 22, 1932, in Jalandhar, Punjab state.

Amrish Puri wanted to become hero but destiny wanted him to became a Legend. He started his career with Marathi film 'Shantatu! The court is on. Amrish Puri before making it in the industry used to work as an insurance agent.  Amrish Puri started seeking work in films, he was told that your face is not like that of a hero, due to which he was very disappointed.

Amrish Puri started working in the theater and got a lot of fame. In his career span of 30 years, he did more than 400 films. He was the first choice for Ravana in 'Ramayana'. However, Actor Arvind Trivedi played the role of Ravana in Ramayana. In fact, other members including actor Arun Govil, who played the role of Ram in the show, wanted actor Amrish Puri to play this role. He believed that he was perfect for this role but it could not happen.
