Amrita Singh is one of the most renowned actresses of her time in Bollywood. The actress has featured in various Big hits film and made her mark in the industry. She was born on 9 February 1958 in Pakistan. She made her Bollywood debut from Betaab with Sunny Deol. Amrita is the daughter of Delhi's famous politician Rukhsana Sultana and her father was a Sikh. The film 'Betaab' was the debut film of both Amrita Singh and Sunny Deol. The first film of Amrita and Sunny managed to win the hearts of people.  After the success of the film, the two decided to work together in another film.It is said that during this second film, Amrita fell in love with Sunny Deol. She even wanted to marry Sunny.

As per the reports Amrita's mother Rukhsana Sultana was against this relationship but because of Amrita’s love her mother decided to marry her daughter to  Sunny. It later came to know that Sunny was already married. This broke the actress heart. Amrita Singh was peak of her career in the 90s and during this time she met Saif Ali Khan a newbie at that time. He was struggling in the film industry. They first met during a photo shoot and from this. Both of them became friends.  They got married according to Islam religion in 1991. Even before her marriage, Amrita converted herself.

On the personal front,  Amrita left her film career in 1993 to take care of Saif and her family. They have two kids Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim.  The couple got divorced after about 13 years. On the professional front after making her debut from 'Betaab'  the actress featured in various hit films like 'Mard', 'Betab', 'Sunny', 'Chameli Ki Shaadi', 'Saheb', 'Khudgarj', 'Naam'.
