Aligarh: Assistant Professor Dr Jitendra Kumar of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in Uttar Pradesh has taken action in the matter of mentioning Hindu gods and goddesses in a class related to sexual offenses. AMU has suspended the professor. However, the professor had apologized in writing. An FIR has been registered under sections 153a, 295a, 298 and 505 of IPC in the disputed power point presentation case related to Dr. Jitendra.

At the same time, accused Assistant Professor Dr Jitendra has written in his apology that the purpose of his teaching was not to hurt religious sentiments, but to explain that rape is a part of society. Let us inform that after the controversy increased in this case, AMU had sent a show cause notice to the Assistant Professor on Wednesday. Actually, Assistant Professor Dr Jitendra Kumar wrote objectionable things in the points shown on the projector during the lecture, hurting the sentiments of a religion, after which his picture became viral on social media. The AMU administration had issued a show cause notice to Assistant Professor Dr Jitendra Kumar and sought a reply within 24 hours.

AMU Proctor Dr Waseem Ali said that during the lecture, some objectionable-religious feelings were brought to the notice of the students in the class room by Dr Jitendra, Assistant Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine, whose photo went viral. . AMU Vice Chancellor Tariq Mansoor himself has shown seriousness to this matter, very soon action will be taken in the matter.
