Janjgir-Champa: A 21-day lockdown has been implemented across the country to prevent the spread of the global pandemic Coronavirus infection. Grain banks have been set up in all the tehsils and urban areas of Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh to help the people in this difficult period. In which the poor, destitute needy affected by the lockdown are being identified and distributed ration.
All the tehsildars have been appointed as nodal officers for the orderly operation of the grain bank, for their cooperation the patwaris and other departmental staff have been deployed on duty. Due to the grain bank, people are not able to donate by forming groups on the streets. All are depositing their donations in the grain bank itself, so that along with section distancing during lockdown, section 144 is also being followed automatically.
Let us tell you that the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Charan Charan Das Mahant had sent a letter to the collector to take the initiative to set up a grain bank, after which the collector set up a grain bank, the benefit of this has also started to appear.
