The popularity of Kartik Aaryan in the show is increasing day by day as first Sara indirectly speaks about him and said his Ex is everyone is Ex. After which the fans of Kartik Aaryan became upset for unnecessarily dragging him. Later Kartik also reacted to it and said he is absolutely fine with his popularity in the show. Reportedly Kartik and Karan are not in good terms but Ananya made both of them to speak with each other on call

In one of the most popular rounds of the show, Karan asked both of them to call up celebrities and tell them to say ‘Hey Karan it’s me.' Ananya rang up her Kartik and asked him to help her out. As soon as he heard Kartik's name, Karan gave a smile. Kartik obliged and said ‘Hey Karan it's me'. Karan imagined Kartik would be busy promoting Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and the actor confirmed it was true. Karan then thanked Kartik for participating in the game.

Kartik was to star in Karan’s movie Dostana 2 but later the makers backed them. Karan’s Dharma Productions in a statement had said, “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence, we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D’Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon.”

 On the professional front, Kartik recently announced that he has signed a project with Sajid Nadiadwala's production house which will be helmed by Kabir Khan. He will also be seen in Freddy opposite Alaya F. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film is touted to be a romantic thriller. He also has Hansal Mehta's Captain India in his kitty.
