Anasuya Bhardwaj, a Telugu actress and anchor, slammed veteran actor Kota Srinivas for making vulgar comments about her attire. He stated in an interview that he dislikes Anasuya's clothing style on the comedy show Jabardasth. The actress has since written a lengthy statement in which she states that what one wears is a completely personal and professional decision.

Anasuya Bhardwaj posted a message on Twitter, saying, "It's ironic how today's social media is highlighting such unproductive content..had there been social media earlier..would they have questioned my choice of dressing to this extent..its sad that someone of that experience made such low comments should know what one wears is entirely personal..could be a professional choice too..but still it's up to oneself..ironic it's how today's social media is highlighting such unproductive content..would they have I'm curious!" 

In an interview, Kota Srinivas discussed Anasuya's fashion sense, saying, "What exactly is it? Anasuya garu is present; she is a talented actor, dancer, and performer with a pleasant attitude and expression. However, take a look at her on that show; the way she dresses, I don't like it. She is stunning, and even if she weren't, the audience would be drawn to her. Even if she wears a saree, she may be regular and the public would watch. Isn't Roja (the judge) on the same programme, and aren't they [the audience] seeing her in a saree?"  Anasuya recently participated in MAA Election but lost. However, she claimed that votes changed overnight.
