Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh  cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken some key decisions including implementation of the Kalyanamastu and Shaadi Tohfa from Februay 10.

The Cabinet  also o decided to set up the national law university in Kurnool apart from granting a stipend under the Law Nestham scheme for lawyers.

The cabinet has cleared its consent for investments of Rs 1,20,000 crore in the state by a set of entrepreneurs. Sanction has been provided for the data centres and for the setting up of a pumped storage hydro project. It  permitted the grant of a Rs 3,940 crore loan to Machilipatnam (Bandar) port, the setting up of the medical service recruitment board etc.

At a news conference he held at the Secretariat at Velagapudi, BC Welfare Minister Srinivasa Venugopalakrishna provided details about the cabinet meeting. He claimed that CM Jagan had approved the Feb. 10 inauguration of the YSR Kalyanamastu and Shaadi Tohfa programmes. The requirement in this is that both the bride and the groom have completed their 10th class. 4,536 families will benefit from the two initiatives' combined benefits of Rs 38.18 crore.
The proposal to offer 60.29 acres of land to Vizag Tech Park Ltd (VTPL) for the construction of a 100 MW data centre, an IT and business park, a skill centre, and a recreation centre in Visakhapatnam has received approval from the cabinet.

It has agreed to the proposal to remove the vacant land tax for the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation's PV Sindhu Badminton Academy and Sports School.

Along with the installation of 250 mw solar power projects in Kamalapadu and Yadiki of the Anantapur district, a 250 mw plant in Kondapuram of the Sri Sathyasai district, and a 500 mw plant in Nossam of the Nandyala district, approval was also given to a proposal to provide electricity to small-scale granite industries at a cost of Rs 2 per unit.

The agreement between the Machilipatnam Port Development Corporation and the Power Finance Corporation for a bank guarantee of Rs 3,940.42 crore, which is necessary for the building of the Machilipatnam Port, was also approved.

The minister  said, YSR Law Nestham, which will be introduced on February 17, would provide 65,537 young attorneys with stipends totaling Rs 35 crore over the course of three years.

The plan to build a second National Law University (NLU) on a 50-acre plot of property in Kurnool was authorised by the cabinet.

It  was also  determined that a fund of Rs 700 crores would be used to offer complete fee reimbursement to 10.50 lakh students through the Jagananna Vidya Deevena on February 28 and the government would pay farmers' input subsidies on February 24.

On the Telugu New Year Ugadi celebration day, the Minister Venugopalakrishna said, the third installment of the YSR Aasara would be given, as part of which Rs 6,500 crore will be donated to 79 lakh women.

The EBC Nestham, which will help 4 lakh individuals, will be made available in March from a corpus of Rs 600 crore. Additionally, 10.50 lakh students would be provided the Vasati Deevena in March with a fund of Rs 1,000 crore.
The Cabinet approved the hiring of 12 non-teaching staff members and 31 teaching staff members for the newly built social welfare Gurukula school in Dhone, Kurnool district.

The decision to convert Nandigama's 50-bed community health centre into a 100-bed neighbourhood hospital at a cost of Rs 34.48 crore was approved.

The Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board would be established under the Department of Health and Family Welfare in order to fill positions at the state, zonal, and district levels. This plan was approved by the cabinet.

Under the Family Doctor concept, approval was given for the appointment of two PHCs, two doctors, and 104 vehicles for each PHC in each mandal.
