Hyderabad (Telangana): Recently, the BJP has accused the Jagan Mohan Reddy government of Andhra Pradesh. BJP has alleged that they are trying to suppress the voice of the media in the state. BJP leader Lanka Dinkar said that "His voice is being suppressed by the state government by registering a case against media institutions reporting on the corona epidemic in the state."

Dinkar also said, "The YSRCP government is violating the right to freedom of speech and expression given in Articles 19 and 21 of the Constitution by registering cases against the print and electronic media houses. They are covering the news in the public interest. especially when the cases of coronavirus have crossed 10,000 on average every day." During this time, the BJP leader also talked about filing a case against him, when a video shown by a TV channel linked to the death of a headmaster due to Corona".

During this time, he said, "Recently, the Corona-infected headmaster of ZP School in Nellore district had issued a video of his pathetic condition by appealing to the government. This video was later released by other media houses including a TV channel. After this, the state government filed a case targeting the newsreader and MD." He further added, "Is this the right way to deal with the media? The same media channel was targeted a few months ago by registering a case against a moderator and chairman of the channel, the Jagan Mohan Reddy government is acting unconstitutionally."
