Visakhapatnam: In view of the decline in corona virus cases, the Andhra Pradesh government on Monday decided to further relax the covid curfew. Under this, cinema halls, restaurants, gyms and marriage halls can be opened from July 8 with a capacity of 50 percent. Curfew in eastern and west Godavari districts only in the state will be relaxed from 6 am to 7 pm every day as the transition rate continues declines.
Curfew will continue in other 11 districts only from 10 pm to 6 am. In these 11 districts, business will run from 6 am to 9 pm, only Godavari districts will get concession till 6 pm. According to a guidelines issued by the chief minister's office, the new curfew time will come into effect from July 8. A high-level meeting on Covid led by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy decided to grant further relaxation in curfew.
On the other hand, the total number of positive cases has gone up to 3,05,85,229 in the country after 39,796 new cases of corona epidemic were registered in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of deaths has increased to 4,02,728 after 723 new deaths. In addition, the total discharge figure has gone up to 2,97,00,430 after 42,352 new discharges in the last 24 hours.
