Even after the lockdown and other effective steps, the cases of coronavirus in the country are seeing a rapid increase. In Andhra Pradesh, 61,266 people have been tested for coronavirus. State's Special Chief Secretary Medical and Health KS Jawahar Reddy said on Saturday that 1.66% of the results of this have come positive.
Addressing the media on this matter, Reddy said, "Compared to other states like Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, the rate of people infected with the coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh is only 1.66% in a total of 61,266 trials." He said that health department officials are working towards providing advanced treatment for Covid-19 cases to overcome emergency situations. Authorities are going to use about 1,900 pulse oximeters in all corona virus hospitals, which can help in monitoring the oxygen level of patients.
He said that people who are having trouble breathing or who are having trouble breathing, have been advised to seek medical help by calling the 104 helpline and samples will be taken from their home. Reddy also said that the state government is mainly focusing on extensive testing. In the last 24 hours, 61 new cases have been registered in the state.
