Amaravati: Two transport department personnel were suspended on Thursday after Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy instructed CMO officials to take harsh action against them for forcibly taking a cab and evicting a family who was in the vehicle.

Following the CM's directives, one house guard, Tirupal Reddy, and an assistant motor vehicle inspector, Sandhya, were suspended on Thursday.

On Wednesday night, two transport department officials instructed a cab driver to report to Ongole immediately because the car had been assigned to CM's convoy for his planned visit to Ongole on April 22, when the driver was taking a family to Tirumala.

A family was stranded on their trip to Tirumala after some officials forcibly took away their cab and driver, according to local media.

CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his displeasure with the occurrence and ordered departmental action against the wrongdoers. "This type of action will not be condoned," he stated, "particularly when people are in trouble."

Jagan Mohan Reddy instructed the CMO officials to take stern action against the officials in question, adding that the cars should not be taken for convoys that cause citizens to be inconvenienced.
