Port Blair: No new case of corona infection has been reported in the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar (Andaman and Nicobar) in the last 24 hours. A total of 7,548 people have been affected by corona so far and the number of active cases is four, the health official said on Saturday. The official said all the four patients under treatment are in the South Andaman district. There is no case of corona infection in the other two districts of North and Central Andaman and Nicobar.
The official said a total of 7,415 people have recovered so far from corona infection in the Union Territory, out of which two patients have recovered on Friday. Meanwhile, no case of death due to Covid-19 has been reported in the last 24 hours, so the death toll remains at 129. So far, 4,57,530 samples have been tested for corona testing in the Union Territory.
Tell you that the rate of infection in Andaman and Nicobar is 1.65 percent. The health official said a total of 3,18,647 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the state so far. Out of these, 2,21,453 people have been given the first dose of the corona vaccine, while 97,194 people have been given the second dose. Meanwhile, 38,667 new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in the country today.
