Actress Andrea Jeremiah is a bibliophile and her fans and followers know that. The pretty actress also suggests good books that she comes across, to her fans to read. Now, she has given her fans a sneak peak at the book she is reading currently. Sharing a photograph of her holding Yuval Noah Harari’s ‘Sapiens; A brief history of Humankind’, she writes how things mentioned in the book make sense now. She also reveals that this is her second attempt at reading this book; the first being a few years ago when it was just out in the market.

On her social media page, Andrea writes, “So this has been my #lockdown reading... actually, my second attempt at reading it, the first was a few year back when the book first came out. At that time, I couldn’t digest the rather ‘inhuman’ insights on #homosapiens but now, in a post-pandemic scenario, a lot of it seems to make sense (sic).”

Earlier this month, the actress, through her social media page had informed fans that she had tested positive for COVID-19 and that she would be isolating herself at home During her course of recovery, she had also shared some thoughts that were triggered by a beehive. Her post read, “My friendly neighbourhood bees are back just in time for #lockdown 3.0. From an evolutionary perspective, #bees are one of the most intelligent species on this #planet. Their roles are so clearly defined from birth, and they work together as a team to ensure the well-being of their hive. From an evolutionary perspective, we #humanbeings probably evolved too fast for our own good. We’ve risen to the top of the food chain by unnatural methods, and in the process, caused the #extinction of many other species, both knowingly & unknowingly. Now, as we face what is possibly the worst #global crisis of our #lifetime, I hope that people around the world learn something from all of this... that we too need to work together as a team, to ensure the well-being of our own #species as well as that of every living thing on this planet... because it all adds up. I truly hope that we can rebuild a better, safer post-pandemic #world. But is that too much to hope for ? I wonder .”
