Protest against Pakistan and China has started once again. This protest has started in Pak occupied Kashmir. Protests have begun over illegal construction of the dam on the Neelam and Jhelum rivers. In Muzaffarabad city of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, the public is openly protesting. The public is angry at the illegal construction of the Neelum Jhelum and Kohala hydropower projects against China and Pakistan. Local residents have organized a huge rally to protest against this construction.

1,124 MW hydroelectric project is being constructed at Kohala by spending $ 2.4 billion. The hydropower plant being built on the Jhelum River at PoK under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has been awarded to Kohala Hydropower Company Limited (KHCL), a subsidiary of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTGC).
