Balod: In the Balod district of Chhattisgarh, there was a lot of stone-pelting and lathi-charge between the two sides over the sacrifice of animals. About half a dozen people were injured in the attack, who were admitted to the hospital for treatment. Police also rushed to the spot as soon as they received information about the incident and detained some persons and started interrogating them.

The incident took place at Jamdi Patha Pateshwar Dham temple in Tuegandi under the Manchua police station area. In fact, on Sunday, some people from the village sacrificed goats and chickens in the name of worship in the temple. As soon as the news of this came to some persons associated with Hinduism, they also reached there. A dispute broke out between them and the people who sacrificed the animals.

The dispute escalated to such an extent that stone-pelting began between them. They started wielding sticks at each other. As soon as the news of the fight was received, the police team reached the spot and got involved in controlling the situation. The injured persons were then rushed to the nearest hospital and some persons were also questioned by the police from the detained persons. Balod SP Govardhan Singh Thakur said that a case has been registered over the war between the two sides. The investigation of the case is currently underway.
