Bangalore: After the violence that took place in Hubballi, Karnataka, now the state police has arrested another leader of Asaduddin Owaisi's party AIMIM Dadapir Betgeri in this case. This violence had erupted after the stone pelting at the old Hubli police station. The police have so far arrested 138 people in this case. Let us inform that earlier on Saturday, Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation councilor Nazir Ahmed was arrested by the Karnataka Police.

He is also an AIMIM party leader, whose strings have been found to be related to the stone pelting at the police station on 16 April 2022. Earlier, Irfan, husband of Hussainbi Nalwatwad, another councilor of the same party, was arrested. Apart from these, the name of Raza Academy has also come up during the investigation of this case. It is suspected that this organization may have a role in the violence that broke out on April 16. Significantly, on 16 April 2022, 200 Islamists attacked the old Hubli police station over a WhatsApp status. Along with this, stones were pelted on the adjacent hospital.

After which a case was registered against the Muslim mob on the complaint of Police Inspector Jagdish. So far 138 people have been arrested in the entire case. According to reports, apart from Dadapir and Nazim Ahmed, another AIMIM leader is named in this case. This name is of Maulana Wasim. It is alleged that Waseem first made a provocative speech at a dargah in Hubli and after that he did the same outside the police station.
