New Delhi: The second wave of corona infection in the country has weakened. But a variety of diseases are engulfing people who have recovered from corona. After black, white and yellow fungus, a new type of dreaded disease has now been reported in people who have recovered from corona. Its name is Cytomegalo Virus. In this disease, the patient has bleeding problem in stool. Five cases of cytomegalo virus have been reported in corona patients at Sir Gangaram Hospital in Delhi. One in five patients have died.

According to the information received, this is the first report in India on five cases of rectal bleeding caused by post covid cytomegalo virus. All these patients were from Delhi-NCR. According to Dr Anil Arora of Sir Gangaram Hospital, in the last 45 days, five corona patients have reported bleeding cases in the stool due to cytomegalo virus. He said that all these patients rushed to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital with abdominal pain and bleeding problems after 20 to 30 days of recovery from corona infection. This is not a sign of corona.

Doctors said the medicines used in the treatment of corona especially weaken the immunity of steroid patients. Due to which patients get many more types of diseases. One such infection is the cytomegalo virus. The virus attacks those with weak immunity. Cytomegalo virus is a common herpes virus. Normally this virus is lying dormant in the body.
