Lucknow: A Hindu woman in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri district has accused Salimuddin and Asip Ali of killing her daughter. It is alleged that the two accused had brutally beaten the girl on September 12, 2022 (Monday), after which the injured victim died on September 16, 2022 (Friday). Police have arrested Salimuddin and Asip Ali. At the same time, a sub-inspector has also been suspended for negligence in action.

According to media reports, the incident took place in Village Moosepur under the police station area Bhira. Rambeti Yadav, a resident here, complained to the police on September 12, 2022, saying, "On the day of the incident, my 18-year-old daughter was sitting at the door. Then Salimuddin, son of Liaquddin, a resident of the village, and Asip, son of Chhote Ali, came to my house and started beating my daughter for no reason.'' In the complaint, Rambeti Yadav further said, "When I tried to save my daughter, both the accused beat me up too.''
According to Rambeti, during this time Salimuddin and Asip hurled filthy abuses at him and his daughter and threatened to kill them. It was told that after this both the accused fled from there. The victim had asked the police to take strict action against the two. The police registered a case against Salimuddin and Asip Ali under sections 323, 504 and 506 of the IPC on the complaint of Rambeti Yadav. Police say that later during the investigation, section 324 IPC was also added to this case. The police also recorded the statement of the victim, which was video recorded. According to the information given by the police, the victim was treated on the day of the incident.
Giving information on this matter, the police issued a press note stating that the victim was discharged after treatment on the day of the incident, but on September 16, 2022, her health deteriorated again. The victim was taken to the hospital at 6 pm, from where she was sent back home. It is being told that the victim died at 7 pm on the same day. Now the police are investigating the case by invoking Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the IPC.
