Kalahandi: In a heart melting incident in Odisha, daughters dismantled the roof of their home to collect wood for the funeral of their mother.

On Friday night, Kanak Satpathy, a 75-year-old woman, passed away after a prolonged illness. Following the death of 70 year old, her daughters asked for the help of villagers to cremate their mother, but no one helped.

Then the daughters sited the mother’s body on a woven cot after waiting for hours and started walking towards the cremation ground. As they do not have wood for the funeral pyre, so the daughters dismantled the roof of their home and used it for the cremation.
