NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is all set to meet with MK Stalin, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, in an effort to rally opposition against the Central government's Ordinance regarding control over administrative services in New Delhi

The leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) tweeted on Wednesday that he would meet with Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin in Chennai the next day to ask for the DMK's backing against the Centre's undemocratic and unconstitutional "Anti-Delhi" Ordinance.

On May 23, Kejriwal began a statewide trip to solicit opposition party support against the Ordinance. On June 2, he would meet with Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren once more.

"I shall see Hemant Soren ji, the chief minister of Jharkhand, on June 2 in Ranchi. In a subsequent tweet, he stated that he "would seek their assistance against the ordinance issued by the Modi administration against the people of Delhi.

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar, former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, and his deputy Tejashwi Yadav have all been met by the AAP national convenor thus far.

An ordinance to set rules for the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD), focused on topics like transfer postings, vigilance, and other relevant matters, was introduced by the Union government on May 19.

This ordinance intends to modify the existing Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1991, and it is designed to bypass the Supreme Court's ruling in the Centre versus Delhi case.
